Mary's sunny disposition makes her a wonderful companion. In addition to being endlessly affectionate, this big, short-statured senior bulldog is housetrained, knows basic commands like sit, and walks well on leash. Because she's an older gal, she prefers short strolls and doesn't like to get overheated. Because of her size (and occasionally exuberant playfulness -- and stubbornness) she'd probably fit best in a home with adults or older children, and would prefer no stairs because she's not an athlete. Instead of barking, Mary makes a variety of cheerful vocalizations, especially at meal times. She's always ready to nap and will lull you to sleep with her snoring. Mary gets very excited when she sees other dogs but we haven't let her meet any yet, so it remains to be seen how well she might get along with another pooch.
