Public donations make it possible for Friends of the Alameda Animal Shelter to save virtually all -- more than 97% -- of the animals it receives. Whether you donate to our general fund, Starfish Medical Fund, or Sasha Training Fund, or donate in honor or memory of a person or pet, your gift helps to save the lives of hundreds of homeless pets a year.
One-Time Donation
Recurring: FAAS Forever Friend
Always be there for the homeless pets of Alameda by becoming a monthly or quarterly FAAS Forever Friend.
In Honor or In Memory of a Pet or Person
Celebrate a birthday, wedding, graduation, or just because, or donate in memory to honor a life. FAAS will send a hand-written card to the recipient.
MORE ABOUT OUR LIFE-SAVING PROGRAMS
Starfish Medical Fund
Help us pay for shelter pets' medical needs beyond basic care. This fund, which relies entirely on your donations, covers dental disease, broken bones, tumors, skin infections and other serious conditions. Your support is a major reason why FAAS is able to save such a high percentage of homeless pets. Thank you!
Sasha Training Fund
Many dogs are surrendered or abandoned because of perceived behavior problems. Your donations to this fund are used to provide six weeks of free training with every canine adoption, and to help our shelter dogs overcome behavior problems so they can be adopted.
The late Shelly Gable established this program in memory of her beloved German shepherd, Sasha, and it continues to be generously supported by the Gable family and friends like you.
