Meet newcomer Barney, a “big, jovial goober" and "very eager to please," according to his behavior evaluator! (She also called him a “muscle head squishmonster” as he sat in her lap, and “highly social and quite tolerant” of other dogs.)

In other words, a great doggo anyone would be lucky to have in their lives!

This affable 72-pound guy lives life with exclamation marks, and often jumps on people with excitement. He's easy to redirect into a sit, but it's going to take some repetition to make it stick, so you'll need to keep reminding him.

Barney the bouncing ball of happiness (look at that smile!) might not be the best dog to have around toddlers, but teenagers should be fine.

Come visit him at our main shelter from 12-4 any day but Monday and prepare to be bowled over by this love train!
