Paula is a sweetheart who loves people. This young German shepherd is:

- "I am interested in ornithology." She hasn't quite grown out of the puppy habit of chasing birds on the ground.

- "I find interesting stuff on the ground and it is always edible! At least to me."
Paula's volunteer dog walker Ileath confirms that she's had to dig so many berries out of Paula's mouth that she no longer takes her beneath certain trees.
